Lost dog…

It turns out, the missing dog got out of the yard some how. He was spotted the other morning by someone… they said he was sitting in front if the yard. Then, I could of sworn it might be him across the street, but I didn’t get a good look arty that dog. Hopefully he’ll be out again later and I can figure out if it’s my pup or not.

Trooper is a good boy, and I’m worried about his safety. I also can bit figure our where he got out. I’m just consumed be anxiety right now… not even a “chill pill” is working that well. I just osu he returns home safe and soon!!
Fyi, he went missing on the west side of Pensacola. Phase be on the look out.

I don’t know how much more I can take!

Ok, so it’s been a LONG time since I posted, and I apologize. But life’s been busy!

Let’s see, it has started out with me moving (only about an hour’s distance from each location). BUUUUT, boxes were labeled either “house”, or “storage”. Nothing was labeled kitchen, master bedroom, Becky’s room, bathroom, you know, things that would make sense.

So I have been going through boxes trying to figure out what is what, and what goes where. Even though I’m “moved”, I still feel like I’m living out of boxes.

On top of that, I recently lost my grandfather (it’s been like 3 weeks now). I was in the middle of the move when I lost my grandfather; which wasn’t really expected. But at the same time he was 96… Anyway, the day after we bury him I get fired for some asinine reasons. I really don’t think any of those things happened and doubt any of it is true. Everybody I’ve talked to, they don’t believe any of reasons I was given. Another thing that gets to me about that whole firing situation, is that I was never warned. I was never told complaints were made against me, that I wasn’t doing certain things right or not performing up to their expectations, or anything like that. Hear me out…  NO WARNINGS WERE EVER GIVEN!!

Here I am, still living out of boxes because I didn’t label anything. No job, looking for a job, trying to deal with unemployment.

And then tonight, we have a mishap with the dogs. I have 3 dogs, all outside dogs. But, tonight one randomly attacked another one for no apparent reason. When this happened my father and I were looking for our 3rd outside dog that is now missing . I didn’t see much of him yesterday (but that is normal) and didn’t think anything of it. However at dinner time tonight when he didn’t show up I began to get worried. Whether he has passed away or got out, I don’t like the thought of either situation. So I’m worried about him and wondering what do I do about the other two… The only other scuffles they’ve had was over who germs what food dish. Nothing major… but tonight, someone drew blood. At least the cats are getting along acne acting normal for the most part. That’s good right?

The thing I think it is driving me crazy the most, is that I cannot find my makeup bag with just about all my makeup in it and I can’t find some of my clothes either. They got to be around here somewhere right??? Who knows where they are. I don’t know. I’m kind of at a point where I really don’t care. Maybe even slightly depressed, I don’t know.

Anyway, I’m going to quit my babblings. I hope this at least makes some kind of halfway decent sense. If not I’m sorry. I’m just trying to get things out and maybe get a few things off my chest and maybe get some sleep tonight. Like actual sleep and not this waking up every hour crap. I took some zquil last night, but that only lasted for a couple hours. So hopefully I’ll get some decent sleep. We shall see…

Brita Water Bottle Review

CURSES!!!!!!! I just had this whole blog typed out and just lost the ENTIRE flippin thing!!!!!!! So I will now tell you what I can remember from that. Man, it was witty and everything!

I live an are with the worse drinking water in the country. So naturally, I filter my water. I also give my pets filtered water; and don’t you look at me like I’m crazy! If that stuff can mess up my insides (as I like to put it) it can do the same to them! You don’t look twice at people who buy bottled water for their infants, their children, right?! Well my kids just have their own language, walk on all fours and are covered in fur! *End Rant*

I don’t like spending money when I don’t have or need to. So when Brita came out with the soft sided water bottled I was thrilled beyond words. See, I could never seem to carry enough water with me and always ended up buying bottled water and paying  more than I thought I should. But that romance quickly faded… It seemed I had to use water that was just the right temperature or I would end up with heartburn. Plus that thing make this loud horrid noise every time you drink from it! You can see the spec for it here: http://www.target.com/p/brita-bottle-violet-violet-20oz/-/A-13620399?ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001&AFID=Google_PLA_df&LNM=%7C13620399&CPNG=Appliances&kpid=13620399&LID=PA&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=13620399&gclid=CJTE1t3Sob0CFeZDMgodGS4Aww   (Now I can’t even get a link to post properly!!)

I recently found a  new hard side bottle from Brita that I LOVE! It doesn’t matter the temp of the water used, it doesn’t make any noise except when you are “priming” it and I have not had any heartburn when drinking water from it! The filter is a little different, it appears to be a solid carbon filter while the other one appears to be your typical “loose stuff in it” kind of filter. My romance with this bottle has yet to fade. It does come with a soft silicone cover over the mouth piece, but I had a cat chew on it so that has been removed.  You can read about this bottle here: https://www.brita.com/products/filtering-bottle/

Anyway, this is nothing compared to the blog that I originally had, but it is long gone. *sad face* I had all the information out in the blog for you to read… but now I don’t have the time to redo all of that. Yes, I could just save this and post it another time, but I don’t I would come back to it. So please read, enjoy, and sorry about the links!

What you wear against your skin matters

Now, I’m going to start this blog off with a term I once heard from a doctor. “Do as I say, not as I do“. Yes, a doctor told me that once, but he was funny about it and had my best interest at heart. Anywho, I say that because if you look in my closet, I don’t own that many 100% cotton items, but I have some good advice to give.

Now why is it important what your clothes are made out of? Well, if you live in a humid and hot place (just about any southern state you can think of), you need clothing that breathes. I wear a poly blends more than I prefer and dadgum it’s HOT! Slip on some cotton clothes, and viola! you have cool, comfortable clothes that don’t make you feel like a sweat box! I first got into this whole “cotton thing” when a friend of mine posted a blog about it. You can see it here: http://www.domesticgeekgirl.com/health-home/health-benefits-of-wearing-natural-fabrics/  This got me to thinking about how my clothes effect how I feel physically and mentally. When I am uncomfortable I’m not in the best mood and feel distracted. So I have slowly started to change my wardrobe up. If I can’t get something in 100% cotton, I get it as close as I can.

So say you have now read her blog, want to get some natural fiber clothing, but your on a budget. No problem! There is a blog about that too! ——>  http://www.domesticgeekgirl.com/crafts-diy/thrift-store-hunting-guide-buying-natural-fabric-clothing/

So there you have it! great ways to get excellent at a decent price!

Way too much is going on.

Dear Lord help me… *rolls eyes* As I sit to write this blog, I hear a a huge thud come from my bedroom. I’m the only one home, so that means it’s a cat… it was so loud and out of the norm that Chloe got out of my lap growling. Btw, Chloe is a cat.

ANYWAY, I just wanted to make a quick blurb, not even a blog, about how things have been going.
Good news, my ear infection is gone. An I didn’t even go to the doctor! On another note, I’m writing this on my phone, and some if the predictive texts are hilarious!

Recently I have felt like I was going mad with my ADD in full gear. See, my church just did the Daniel fast. Don’t of us can’t do that, do we fast other things. For me it was caffeine. It was going to be caffeine and sweets, but I realized I hardly touch sweets. Let me tell you, it. Was. Hard. The first couple of days I got killer headaches, but after that things seemed ok. But after, oh, 21 days, I was ready for my caffeine!

It’s funny, you don’t realize how many drinks have caffeine in them until you can’t have any. Plus I didn’t realize I’d miss coffee so much!

*thinking* I kind of forgot where I was going with this. Oy…. oh how I wish you could see and hear what I am right now. Ask the critters are asleep, one pup is dreaming while the other is snoring. I swear, he sounds just like a human.

Oh, did I tell you guys about the dcrewtape letters?!?!! Ack! I don’t think I did! A group p of us from my church took a bus from here to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to go see it! The entire play consisted of two actors, and only one had lines! It was amazing! I do admit I got a little lost a couple of times, but besides that, they had my attention the entire time! It is by C.S. Lewis and I HIGHLY suggest you read the book and see the play whenever possible!!

Well, on that note the whey had finished and I can put my stuff in the dryer/hang it up.

Sorry about being so random… welcome to my brain! 😛

Homeopathic Ear Infection/Pain Remedies

In the past year I have fell victim to double ear infections three times. So when I got the unforgettable twinge of pain today, I headed off looking for homeopathic remedies. See, I’m tired of antibiotics, no insurance makes going to the doctor extensive and the cheaper antibiotics make me sick.

So here is what I found:

1. Using pain relievers. Pain relievers such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (such as Advil, Motrin, and Aleve) and acetaminophen (such as Tylenol) will help you feel better. Taking something for pain before bedtime is especially important. Follow all instructions on the label.

2. Applying heat to the ear, which may help with pain. Use a warm washcloth or a heating pad.

3. Encouraging rest. Resting will help the body fight the infection.

4. Using eardrops. Doctors often suggest eardrops for earache pain. Don’t use eardrops without a doctor’s advice, especially if you has tubes in your ears.

Things that DON’T work:

1. Decongestants, antihistamines, expectorants, and other over-the-counter cold remedies usually do not work for treating or preventing ear infections. Antihistamines that cause sleepiness may thicken fluids, which can make you feel worse. (Check with the doctor before giving these medicines to your child. Experts say not to give decongestants to children younger than age 2.)

If you aren’t better after a few days of home treatment, call your doctor.

Also, I read soaking cotton balls in peroxide and putting them in your ears might help. But that was not on a reputable site.

It’s sad but true…

After spending two days away from cats/all animals, I have come to realize I am allergic to cats.
I returned home with clear sinuses and my eyes water and gunk free. It wasn’t even 12 hours later that my nose started running again. This morning, I woke up to gunk in my eyes (eeewwww) and my eye wouldn’t quit watering.

My eyes give me trouble only when a cat is by my head. They can sit in my lap all day long, and all I get is a stuffy nose. Put obe by my head, or get a fur near/in my nose, here comes the water works and sneezing.

This really sucks because I love cats. I have had a cat since I was about 3/4 years old. My allergies to these wonderful creatures is something I’ve suspected for a while. I take Zyrtec for some other allergy, but I don’t know what it is… anyway, I can only imagine what my symptoms would be without Zyrtec!

My solution? Grow a pair and deal with it. First off, I’m going to get some air purifying plants. The wonderful Gyngi did a great blog on that. You can set it here: http://www.domesticgeekgirl.com/health-home/five-air-purifying-house-plants-that-wont-kill-your-cat/

Besides that, I’m going to start vacuuming WAY more often and studying like mad. All I can do is hope and pray that this works (and do some research on the googles).
I’ve tried to find homes before, but that was never a success *sad face*

Wish me luck on this! An if you have any suggestions/ideas, I’m open to them!
